Dixie arrived at our home in 2020 as a scared, heartworm positive, skinny, 100% untrained, abandoned, beautiful and sweet as honey girl along with her demons that she is still fighting periodically, including accepting dogs into her Queendom. Dixie was adopted TWICE but managed to be returned to the people she had chosen to be her forever family, until we decided to adopt her. We love her for her quirks, her loving personality, her frequent demands for pettings, her love for her "pack", her stubbornness, her excitement over meeting new people of all ages, and her obvious love for life.
