Jessie: We’re excited to nominate Jessie as the Dapper Dolly for this year’s Great Barksby Gala—because if anyone can steal hearts and tennis balls, it’s her.
Why Jessie Is a Paw-fect Pick:
Jessie was found as a stray in Union County and spent a month in the shelter before Freedom German Shepherd Rescue swooped in on 10/31/25 to give her a second chance. Since then, she’s been busy proving she’s got star power in her foster home: big smiles, big heart, and an even bigger obsession with fetch. (Seriously… If there’s a ball, she’s already on it!)
Jessie’s had at least one litter of puppies in her past and is currently undergoing heart-worm treatment — then she’ll be spayed and ready to find her forever family. Her journey is exactly why our rescue and spay/neuter programs matter, and she wears her “rescue glow-up” with pride.
