Aphrodite is a 14 year old baby hippo bully bully adopted eight years ago from Chester County Animal Shelter. Aphrodite had a loving home until her human passed away in the company of her seven dogs. While dropping off supplies for the shelter, the shelter director begged me to “just take a look.” Aphrodite was the only dog left form her pack without a home and would cry in her kennel. The blue love tank came running out of the kennel, plopped in my lap, and looked up at me with those sweet eyes. Aphrodite had found her forever home.
